The annual beard stroking, back slapping event for boys and girls bonkers about breaks, which we all know and love as Breakspoll is once again upon us. Yep, Breakspoll 2010 takes place on 25th February in London and we are calling on you to go Against The Grain.
If you ever needed any re-assurance of our dedication to breaks, the past 12 months would be proof of our obsession for a funky break and a naughty bassline, with 53 new tracks released on Against The Grain in 2009 (80 if you include the release of some classics).
The launch of our Against The Grain parties in Melbourne, Australia have also been a highlight for us, with regular crowds in excess of 1,000 people turning out to prove breaks is very much alive and well down under! Following the release of Krafty Kuts’ hugely successful ‘Fabric 34’ and ‘Back To Mine’ mix CDs which gave listeners an insight into his roots in turntablism and crate digging, we’re proud to present this new compilation of exclusive “re-rubs” which merges Krafty Kuts’ remix skills with his DJ prowess.

Ever since the early days of dance music, house pioneers such as Danny Krivit and Larry Levan and hip hop producers such as Double D & Steinski, DJs have made their own re-edits of tracks to add an element of exclusiveness to their sets. Usually however, those edits remain unreleased, never to see the light of day.  So, it is with great pleasure and the kind help of many artists and record labels, we are able to release this CD containing 19 of Krafty Kuts’ finest, unreleased re-edits which have been igniting his sets over the past year.

As a bonus, Krafty Kuts digs into the Against The Grain vaults for Disc Two, looking back over the past decade at some of dance music’s biggest tunes to come out on this killer record label which he is proud to be a part of.  For this CD he’s chopped, tweaked, mixed, mashed and krafted 28 of the label’s best bangers into 1 hour of blissful breaks.
