This simply massive remix package sees Deekline & Wizard’s skankin’ album opener ‘Bounce & Rebound’ reworked across dubstep, breaks, nu-skool funk and electro house.
Bounce & Rebound is Deekline & Wizard doing what they do best, cooking up a hot pot of raw talent to produce a sound which is totally unique yet quintessentially British. Featuring jungle institution TopCat, UK hip hop exile Fallacy, and long time vocal partners Vic and Yolanda, making ‘Bounce & Rebound’ a real, multi genre masterpiece.
The remix package meanwhile is simply bursting with anthem-potential. First-up San-Fran twisted beat-master Bassnectar dishes up an explosive dubstep edit that sees the scatting vocals of Yolanda spiral into a bass-crazed dancefloor meltdown. Meanwhile the Beat Assassins restring the elements into a party-hardy nu-skool breaks bouncer as only they know how. Fort Knox Five distill the song’s jazz elements with some crisp and cracking beats to create a tune that is, in true Fort Knox style, pure class. And Duston Hulton tweaks the hooks and adds some four on the floor action resulting in a late-night electro-filled house banger.
These are four big tunes which have seen strong support from the likes of Stanton Warriors and Krafty Kuts, with theĀ Beat Assassins’ and Bassnectar’s edits currently perched in the top 3 on the breaks and dubstep charts on Beatport.
